Very friendly little village with a beautiful clean beach, safe for kids & non swimmers. Locals are always very friendly and each time I return am treated like family. There are plenty of supermarkets and a handful of souvenir shops in the village. Lots of variety for dining and you can't beat sitting in the beachside restaurants on a lovely summers evening with a metaxa in hand. A couple of good pools that can be used but the half time bar is the best .... well kept, spotlessly clean pool and surrounding area and the snacks are great value for money. Would recommend Mastichari to everyone except the young & lively band or anyone looking for a rave up .... it's not for you. If you want relaxation, good company and just to chill then this is the place for you.

Totally relaxing, get away from it all village but with a good bus service enabling you to visit Kos town for some retail therapy or to visit lots of the other beaches dotted along the coastline. Wond

Kefalos
Wonderful village, Greece as it used to be before mass tourism changed it. The views are lovely, beach on the front leaves a little to be desired, adequate but not wonderful however there is a good bus service which calls at some of the best beaches I've ever been on ...( like the bounty bar adverts) and they're only a short distance away. Kefalos is a treasure, long may it remain that way.
