Looking for the genuine Canarian atmosphere? Somewhere calm and relaxed? Alcalá is a Spanish placename originally from the Arabic al-qal'a, the citadel or fortification. Alcalá is only a few kilometres from the main tourist centres of the south of Tenerife but nevertheless retains the air of a typical fishing village.
