Antigua

I bet you didn’t know there was another little holiday hotspot called Antigua? So by now youhave guessed this is not the one in the Caribbean and is a little closer to home.

Antigua really is a small beautiful town, located in the east of Fuerteventura that is very close (2km) from Caleta De Fuste and just 1km away from the beach of Playa de Castillo. The tourist attraction of the town is the Centro de Artesania, where tourists can see the inside of a windmill and enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurants of this area. In Antigua you can visit one of the most picturesque and beautiful churches of Fuerteventura, the church “Cruz de los Caldos”: it was built in 1785 and it is decorated with flowers all year round. If you want to stay away from the main resorts and sample real life on Fuerteventura then this is the place!
