El Cotillo

El Cotillo is an amazing small fishing village with a unique character of its own. It is located in the north of Fuerteventura and it is the ideal place for relaxing. There are several bars and restaurants serving excellent food close to the old harbour and the views from El Toston are particularly pleasing.

There are miles of beaches to the south of this part of sunny Fuerteventura. The beaches are excellent, and even on a busy day they are too big to be overcrowded. The village is divided into two parts, on the left is the wild beach where the surfers and windsurfers play and on the right are the quiet lagoons and sandy coves ideal for families with young children who play in the warm shallow water. You will disappointed if you are looking for disco's, amusement arcades or fast food restaurants. You will be ecstatic if you want beautiful scenery, a laid back lifestyle and excellent hotels.
