Lassithi Agios Nikolaos

Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the region of Lasithi and it lies along the west of the Mirabello Bay. According to the legend, goddesses Athena and Artemis used to wash their hair in this deep blue lake. Why? Because Agios Nikolaos is worth it! This picturesque town has many open-air cafes, restaurants, and many shops. From the port you can take a small boat to take you to the Venetian Fortress of Spinaloga, to Elounda and to the Mirabello Bay. Don’t forget to visit the Archaeological Museum that exhibits splendid archaeological findings.
