Zante Town

Zante Town is the Zante island’s capital. It is a town historically known as “The Venice of the South” as it is the commercial and cultural centre of the island. It is a bustling town of 30,000 inhabitants and it is the perfect combination of beauty, entertainment and culture. The Strata Marina (Marine Drive) and harbour are the busiest parts of town and there are plenty of cultural choices including the Museum of Byzantine Art, the Solomos Museum and the Museum of Zakynthos. For entertainment, there are numerous taverns, restaurants and bars to choose from. Zante town also consists of four main squares, all of which offer a unique perspective. It is a gorgeous place to visit, known for its distinct and charming style.
